Release Notes: April 2022

Keep up to date on new features and enhancements on Covidence

Highlights:

  • Updated look and feel of the voting buttons
  • Improved onboarding journey for trial users
  • Open Access articles are automatically uploaded to studies in full-text review
  • Export a list of studies that are missing full text

Enhancement: Updated look and feel of the voting buttons

We’ve updated the look of the primary voting buttons when in title and abstract and full text screening so they are more prominent on the page and more accessible.

In addition, we have updated the buttons when a user has cast a vote but it is awaiting another reviewer. Now it is clear which way you voted and what you need to do if you want to “change your vote”!

Improved onboarding journey for trial users

Trial users will automatically go to the ‘create new review page’  after they sign up, to jump straight into creating a review rather than having to navigate to this page.

New feature: Open Access articles are automatically uploaded to studies in full-text review

Now, as studies move into full text review or data extraction, we will automatically upload an Open Access article to the study for you if one is available and mark it as ‘Full text uploaded by Covidence (Open Access)’. This will enable reviewing teams to begin screening those studies without having to retrieve the full text manually. Find out more here.

New feature: Export a list of studies that are missing full text

To support full text retrieval process studies that are missing full text can now be exported. This option can be found via the Review Summary Page and clicking the ‘Export’ button.
